The page is very much under construction.
The official Comprehensive Cancer Center Wake Forest Baptist Core page is here.
This model for this core facility is to provide collaborative access to specialized expertise and equipment. Projects start by talking with the relevant co-director (Dr. Salsbury handles the computational component) to see what might be possible.
What can the Computational Biosciences core facility do:
- Docking of small molecules to proteins
- Virtual Screening
- Ligand library design
- Protein-Protein docking
- Homology modeling
- Molecular dynamics simulations
- pKa/electrostatic calculations
- Electronic structure calculations
Depending on the extent of the work, it may be done by Dr. Salsbury at no charge to the investigator, or it may require effort from existing students in the Salsbury Group, which requires it to be appropriate to their research, or may require training of a student in the investigators group, or may require grant funding for additional personnel or resources.
